Women Don't Need to Build Businesses the Way Men Did
"Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you."
For years, that message showed up everywhere. In advertising, in sports, in business, and in culture. Women were told they could do anything men could do, and that was powerful.
But hidden beneath it was another assumption. We had to prove we could play their game by their rules, and that was the only way to succeed.
There was never much room for doing it our own way.

In her conversation with Kami Guildner on Extraordinary Women Radio, Meghann shared why women don't need to follow the same blueprint to create incredible impact.
The Old Model Wasn't Built for Us
Sacrifice everything you can and that’s how you know you're doing it right. No days off, but if you're lucky, vacations once a year.
We hold this narrative that we’re doing this for our families, but the model pulls us away from them. Missing birthdays becomes part of the deal. Skipping dinner with the family is normal. Not having friends means you are doing it right.
And women? We can do it too, but only when we do it like men.
The reality is, we don't need to sacrifice ourselves to become successful business owners. That was never the price of admission.
Stop Waiting for the Next Milestone Before You Enjoy Your Life
When women walk away from the ugly side of business, we make up our own rules. Ones where we lean into balance and intentionally create stability at every goal and milestone, knowing that our families don’t get sacrificed in the process.
Success no longer feels like something we need to survive. Instead, we slow down to celebrate the levels we’ve reached instead of immediately chasing the next one. We learn that growth can include creating enough stability to enjoy what we've already built.
We stop treating self-worth as a reward waiting for us at the next milestone and carry it with us along the journey. The result is a version of success that we can actually sustain.
Connection Is One of Women’s Greatest Strengths
Women are built for community. It’s how we’ve thrived for generations. Being deeply known and genuinely supported makes a profound difference in our lives, even for introverts.
Connection becomes the competitive edge, and it isn't something to be ashamed of. Even though business has pushed us to believe its meant to be solo, we women can establish a new narrative.
Once we stop believing we have to do it all alone, we can ask for help without shame. Our communities become stronger and our world becomes even more open and adaptable.
Sharing our success with a sisterhood that has our backs, with no eye rolls because they hit the same goal a few months ahead of us, reminds us that there's room for all of us to win.
The World Is Waiting for Women to Do Their Work.
Women are reshaping businesses and building cultures and economies where people are cared for more than ever.
Women naturally nurture, and that often shows up in the way we build our businesses. We create environments where people feel safe, valued, and cared for.
For too long business has been about protecting the business, instead of protecting the people keeping the doors open. Women get to change that.
The future belongs to the women willing to step into the flames.
