Monica May-Dunn is the Owner, CEO, and CFO of Arizona Escrow and Financial Corporation (AEF), the stateâs premier provider of business escrow services since 1976. With over 30 years of industry leadership, she has expanded AEFâs offerings to include commercial real estate transactions, holding accounts, and specialized financial services, establishing the firm as a trusted partner for complex property transfers.
Monica joined AEF in 1990 and rose from Assistant Controller to VP/CFO by 2000. In 2023, she became the sole owner, driving innovation and strategic growth. Her leadership led to record-breaking achievements in 2022, including enhanced operational efficiency, increased transaction volume, and a headquarters move to the prestigious Camelback business corridor.
Recognized as one of AZRE Magazineâs âMost Influential Women in Commercial Real Estate 2024,â Monica is also a dedicated advocate for economic growth and education. She serves on advisory boards, participates in civic groups like WATT Phoenix and the Greater Phoenix Chamber, and mentors emerging leaders. She recently launched the Practical and Positive Leadership podcast to promote collaboration and innovation in financial services.
Outside of work, Monica enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her two grandchildren, reflecting her commitment to balancing professional success with personal fulfillment.
